Important Information about Permits / Licenses
Applicants for a driver’s permit or license who are under the age of 18 must prove they are enrolled in school and making satisfactory progress toward graduation.
To do so, they need to apply for a “Certificate of Compulsory School Attendance” from their school and take it with them to the driver’s license station.
The Certificate of Compulsory School Attendance is only valid for 30 days, so do not request the form from us until you are within 30 days of applying for your driver’s permit / license.
If you plan to apply for a driver’s permit or license within 30 days, you may request the Certificate of Compulsory School Attendance from us at this link.
